Project: Focus of Interest
My bachelor thesis » focus of interest« is a self written, self designed book with 147 pages. Its design and material is based on promises of green design and the reality of green washing which is a huge problem of our current society. The emotionalisation as a marketing strategy pays off. To get to the bottom of it I got together with the Fraunhofer Institut to investigate the customers reaction of green design.
Based on the result of the eyetracking, I designed golden objects through the viewing points. I used waste papers which I screen printed. The whole packaging was ecologically friendly. Some prints are golden in order to show the absurdity of green washing. To give the topic more currency I interviewed the Head of Creation at Jung von Matt and printing plant. Therefor I was nominated for Newcomer Award 2015 at the German design awards.
